Become an A+ Fitness Trainer
In order to receive referrals from A+ Fitness, you the trainer must first meet certain requirements.
A+ Trainer Qualifications:
- Must pass the A+ Written Exam and A+ Practical Exam
- Certified by a nationally recognized agency
- Current good status with "continuing education units"
- Current good status with CPR Certification
- Current good status with liability insurance
- Legally registered business in the San Diego County

- The A+ Written Exam and The A+ Practical Exam. All trainers who desire to receive referrals from A+ Fitness must first pass both the written and practical exams.

- Extended Education Program. A+ Trainers must meet specific qualifications that exceed the industry standards. Each A+ Trainer must acquire a certification through a nationally recognized program such as the National Strength and Conditioning
Association.
- Trainer Network System. The Trainer Network System allows a variety of trainers to gain credibility by uniting under one umbrella for continuing education,
receiving referrals and networking with other health professionals.
- Monthly Newsletter. Our monthly newsletter is for the trainer to share current event information with their clients.
- The Start-Up Workbook. The workbook is a "master
copy" source for the trainer AND the client to make copies of important
fitness and nutrition documents that will assist the trainer in getting
results with their clients!
- Apprentice Program. For those who desire to be a personal
trainer but lack the experience needed to be credible and safe, A+ Fitness
offers an Apprentice Program. Each apprentice must witness at least 10 hours
(100 hours maximum) with an already certified A+ Trainer. The apprentice will accumulate experience that includes witnessing personal
training sessions as well as hands on fitness instruction. As a result,
the Apprentice will be equipped to take the A+ written exam and the A+ practical exam
in addition to their national level certification prior to receiving referrals.
